El Salvador, Finca Hungria, Organic, SMBC, Medium Roast, Whole Bean and Ground

Finca Hungria and Rumania are sister farms located next to each other in Santa Ana, El Salvador. These farms are owned by the Lima Family, a third-generation coffee business, and are operated as one. When Mr. Lima founded these farms in the 1930s, he had an affinity for Europe and named the farms after countries he visited. Finca Hungria is a 60-hectare farm located 1100 meters above sea level. After harvest, the cherry is taken from Finca Hungria to Balcanes Mill, 2 km from Finca Rumania, where it is patio-dried for 18 days. Finca Hungria is a member of the Cuzcachapa Cooperative and is responsible for exporting their coffee.

Besides organic certification, Finca Hungria is Smithsonian Bird Friendly Certified. When you Drink Bird Friendly® certified coffee, you brew a more biodiverse, sustainable world. Created by Smithsonian scientists, the Bird Friendly Gold Standard does more to protect habitats that are often destroyed to make way for coffee growing. Support the best in organic, eco-friendly farming by asking your café, grocery store, and friends to migrate to Bird Friendly® certified coffee.
