Nicaragua FT-USA Organic SMBC San Juan Rio Coco coffee is sourced from family-owned farms organized around Union de Cooperativas Agropecuarias de San Juan de Rio Coco (UCA), a cooperative operating in the municipality of San Juan de Rio Coco within the departments of Mardiz, Nicaragua. The cooperative has 420 members (80 women) who, on average, cultivate 12 acres of coffee. The cooperative provides technical assistance and small business lending to all of its members.
