Coffee is the primary industry in Papua New Guinea, involving over half of the population, and is the sole income for many highland farmers. This coffee is grown in Okapa valley, where approximately 3,000 small producers on small plots of land ranging in size from a few trees to a few hectares produce coffee from mature trees.
Premiums for Organic certification coffee provide additional income to the villages to invest in infrastructure such as roads and fresh drinking water.
This arabica coffee is a bourbon and typica variety and is processed using a washed process. Roasted medium, the coffee has bold earthy tones, full body, and lingering fruity notes.
